ADHESIVE BONDED JOINT (CB/CS & TB/TS)
The adhesive bonded joint consists of a Conical socket and Conical spigot or Tapered Bell and Tapered spigot. This joint allows for an accurate assembly length with narrow tolerance and may be used for aboveand underground pipe systems. Adhesive mixture is applied on prepared outer side of spigot and inside the socket and then spigot is pulled inside socket using come along jacks.Once the required length of spigot is inserted into the socket, allow the joint to cure itself. For joint strength, Wrap heating blanket around the joint at required temperature and time.
What is an Adhesive Bonded Joint?
An Adhesive Bonded Joint consists of either:
Conical Bell & Conical Spigot (CB/CS), or
Tapered Bell & Tapered Spigot (TB/TS)
In this jointing system, the spigot is inserted into the socket using a high-performance adhesive, creating a strong chemical and mechanical bond. The tapered or conical design ensures accurate assembly length and uniform load distribution.
Our Adhesive Bonded Jointing Process
Integral Pipeline follows a controlled and proven procedure to ensure joint integrity:
Surface preparation of spigot and socket
Application of approved adhesive mixture
Insertion of spigot into socket using come-along jacks
Accurate alignment to achieve specified insertion length
Controlled curing of the joint
Heating blanket application at specified temperature and duration to enhance joint strength
All installations are carried out in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and project specifications.
Applications of Adhesive Bonded Joints
Our adhesive bonded joint services are ideal for:
FRP / GRP / Fiberglass pipelines
Water transmission and distribution systems
Oil & gas facilities
Industrial and chemical pipelines
Underground and above-ground installations
Long straight pipeline runs requiring tight tolerances
Why Choose Integral Pipeline?
Specialized expertise in FRP jointing systems
Use of approved adhesives and materials
Skilled technicians and controlled installation process
Compliance with international pipeline standards
Proven performance in industrial environments
Integral Pipeline ensures every adhesive bonded joint delivers structural integrity, leak-free operation, and long-term durability.
These joints are suitable for both above-ground and underground pipeline systems, including water transmission, industrial piping, oil & gas facilities, and chemical process pipelines.
Heating blankets are used to maintain the required temperature and curing time, which enhances adhesive bonding strength and ensures proper joint performance as per manufacturer specifications.
Adhesive bonded joints provide high strength, accurate alignment, smooth internal flow, corrosion resistance, and long-term reliability with minimal maintenance.
